I found a link through Facebook’s Marketplace to purchase 3G iPhones at $140USD. There was a special offer for 2 units purchased a free PS3 with 18 games would be included. I made contact with them through email. I was told shipping costs to Trinidad and Tobago is $40USD, so the final cost was $320USD. I couldn’t make the payment the first day, so on the second day I was told that the courier service placed an overnight holding charge on the package of $40USD, so the figure i had to transfer was now $360USD. The payment was made through Wester Union. When they received the money I was told that the courier serviced stopped the package from being sent because I had a customs tax and insurance fee of $150USD to pay. If this wasn’t paid within 24hrs, customs would seize the package and auction it. I told them I had no more money and I wouldn’t be able to get it borrowed. I am a freelance graphic designer so I offered my services to them in return for clearing the customs tax. They accepted my offer but said they would talk design business with me after I made the customs tax payment.
This was the contact on Facebook: http://apps.facebook.com/marketplace/seller/3623063/?listing_id=1297732850, but the account was reported as Spam.
The email for the contact: amanda.spanks@yahoo.com
Phone contact: +447024042987 OR +447024057975
When i told them i thought it was a scam, this was the email response i received:

Can you guys stop buying things over internet like this – if it’s too good to be true, then it is. Breaks my heart knowing you guys are getting scammed by these dumbasses who have nothing better to do. It’s the same story over and over again. Buy 2 get 1 free, pay this pay that and in the end…NOTHING. Do NOT buy from these people.
