Almost scammed by Brad Varney

NOTE: Please look below this report for comments by the company, individuals, employees, ex-employees and victims, if there are any. They may contain invaluable and important updates about this case.

Job posting from Genuinejobs.com with contact address of accountmanager@live.com. First contacted by Brad Varney then by Joe Brush after I sent e-mails for more info on job description. Supposedly they work for Ecplaza.net and are a middle-man for supply and demand connecting buyers with sellers and getting a 20% fee. That check is mailed the the virtual/online secretary/assistant who then cashes the check, keeps 8% (with the potential to get up to 10% as time goes on), and then sends via Western Union the rest of the money minus the fee for transferring the money. I wasn’t hired yet, but they were testing potential employees for efficiency. I received a check and went to the bank where my bank said the check reeked of fraud and suggested I not try to deposit since a returned check would put a negative light on my account and the possibility of owing the bank more than $2000.
