Computer Software fraud

i had received a pop up saying my computer was infected by a large amount of viruses and worms, so like most ppl would do is go and get an anti-virus so i had bouten one for $100.00 and after about a day i went to go do a virus scan it had said the program wasn’t there and it had been moved or changed, i searched my entire computer and i found no evidence of the anti-virus. So i thought to myself well this is deffinatly a way to scam people of there, money.
