I was also looking to buy a motorhome but then I see that it has to be bought without seeing it..so the red flags went up. So I started researching before letting my money out of my hands. The add is for a 1998 Allegro Bay Motorhome..only 7800..the pictures of it are gorgeous.

Please understand that I’m not forcing you to do anything that you don’t like and if you don’t want to buy my product anymore then is no problem for me because at this price I will find a new buyer very easy. It is normal to be suspicious. But please take a good look at the situation: The payment will be done through Live Shipping. You will send the deposit to Live Shipping and as soon as the payment is confirmed they will notify me and we will proceed with the shipping. I will ship the motorhome, you will receive it along with the paperwork and you will pay the rest from the total amount.Live Shipping’s Buyer Protection Program protect both seller and buyer. Here’s another one with a Camper to sell. This was on Craig’s list showing that it was in Harrison, AR. When my husband asked to see the camper, here’s the reply he received:

Here is another fraudulant escrow site: http://www.parcel2ship.com.en-catalog.info/en_language/webship.high.html I contacted the real parcel2ship company and they do not have this site listed in their company. I then found related scam posts relating to parcel2ship. This was a craislist deal for a computer – too good to be true kind of deal. I asked the seller if there was another way of making the transaction and he just sent back the same email referencing the scam site. Beware as I read that there are about 10 scam sites to every legitimate escrow service site.

I purchased a camper thru craigslist for 7200.00. The seller wanted me to use Net Assistant Trader. I looked at the site and read thru all the warnings. I confirmed that my bowser read exactly it was supposed to, confirmed the invoice that was sent to me was also as it said it should be. I was asked to wire money to a Bank right here in Chicago, IL right here in America and when I went to our bank they verified that the routing number was in fact that bank. I registered, wired the money. I recieved emails from NAT updating me on my transaction. 2 days later my husband found the EXACT same item including the same write up and same pictures ect. We contacted the ebay seller and was informed that this camper was picked up and heading to Canada.(a long way from New Orleans). I hope someone can tell me how to do something about this. I have filed complaints with craiglist, but don’t know where else to turn.

I had make a deal with them bcoz i don`t known that company is fake.i`m from malaysian.So i follow the instruction to transfer my money via western union about rm7560.00 to buy the bike with the seller in u.k..so i was get screwed with that fake company..and now that bike still not come to me..i`m was fear with my mistake cause didn`t make an investigation before send a money by using western union like they asking for.

There are a variety of reviews about ONLINE TRADE POST
many of them positive.
This is a load of crap, OTP onlinetradepost.com is a scam. I researched two of the locations in the Seattle area that they list on their website. One which is located at 1520 2nd st Seattle as their payment office is actually “joes mart” I spoke with two employees at that location, they say they have no idea what Online Trade Post was, however one of them did mention that they had received a legal notice indicating that someone in South Carolina was using their address as a business address. The second location on their website is in Bothell Wa. the address given is actually an apartment block, no store front there. Don’t bother submitting any offer to anyone “using” this service as it is a scam. Waste of time…. If you want to check it out go to their website click on locations and map google the address…all BS.

Hello everyone, please be aware of a scammer using craigslist to sell items and then using a fake escrow service called OAT or Online Assistant Trader. None of their addresses are real or are for a residence. They use photos from other people’s sites. Pictures of a RV that was for sale in Vermont listed in California for half the price it sold for a few months earlier at a dealer in Vermont. The dealer is legit, but not the craigslist seller.

My husband and I just came acrossed one of these scams. It was for a 2004 f150 white all the bells and whistles. The sellers name was Mellisa king out of Houston Texas. Said just finished a divorce and only wanted 2990.00 which is like a forth of the blue book price. We where all set to send the money on part because of the eBay buyer protection program (thought it was ok) then we talked to his dadband found out he went through the same thing awhile back over a back hoe and said that if its on the up and up then she will have no problem with you coming and picking the truck up. I send this Mellisa king another email and said that we would bring cash just needed her address and stuff the way they did so we could just pay and drive home. Her response email was she had a contract with eBay and the truck was already packed for shipping but no address. Go figure right!!!! So glad we talked to his dad first. I’ve dealt with eBay before and never had a problem and this was a scam and I find it horrible that they have to use the whole eBay name and all. But guess they do that cause its a trusted company. My advice is never do shipping on big stuff like a truck have title in hand before you hand money over especially when its alot. Sorry for anyone that is on the up and up and trying to sell a vehicle on eBay good luck.

I cannt explain how that page having prescense in 3 different countries doesnt have a phone number to contact.. and also if you try to sell something you cannt.. something in the page also doesnt work Be aware please

Craigslist has alot of scammers wanting you to give them personal info so they can open a case with ebay and ebay will email you with instructions on how to proceed with the financial steps.

Thank you all for this amazing information. I bought a lot of cars in my time and usually for a good price. Now I’m in china and this guy that advertised a honda civic hybrid. So he answers my email and says he’s sick in the UK and that WTrust is taking care of it for him. I am suspicious and start searching, Loll and behold, I find this website. No more dealing with this bunch!

Again, I’ve sent people big checks from all over the world buying cabins, cars and other stuff and never once had a problem. But they were all honest and I talked to them on the phone, followed up with express mail, got documentation, and treated them well. It always worked out…until the Internet!
