Fake Health “insurance”

NOTE: Please look below this report for comments by the company, individuals, employees, ex-employees and victims, if there are any. They may contain invaluable and important updates about this case.

There’s no such thing as cheap health coverage. There are, however, people who make a living in the cruelest way, by scamming sick people.

One scam I keep seeing at my job is faxes coming in offering “GROUP BENEFITS” for self-employed people, individuals, and families. For $199 a month, the faxes say, a single person can get doctor visits with no co-pay, hospital care, dental, tests, and discounted prescription drugs. (In my area, the cheapest real coverage is $800 a month.)

What really happens (I researched this type of scam online) is that you pay $199 a month until you get sick, go to the doctor, and they tell you that you don’t really have insurance. Your card is worthless.

You can tell it’s a scam if:
They advertise “No contracts!”
The price is way lower than other insurance in your area.
The last day to enroll is the day after you get the fax.
There is no sender name or no fax number on the fax (the law requires both).

DON’T GET CAUGHT!
