I took a plan to call long distance calls with Union Telecom. I carged 39.99 as a security deposite, which they will refund you as a calling card when you terminate their services. I was supposed to pay 3.9 cents/min. for long distance calls. they charged me @10 cents/min.I got very hard time to get that correct. I cancelled my account and asked for security deposite, they refused stating that you have to use their services atleast for one year.

Union telecom sales persons(Aman/Saurabh) called me 4 months ago and offered me attractive rates with no contract. I paid security deposit of $39.50. They gave me their direct contact# 1-888-818-1060 extn. 214 but it seems this number has been disconnected. I was told there is no obligation to keep the service. I can cancel the service anytime and the deposit money will be returned within 2-3 days. I didn’t like the service so I canceled the service on May 25, 2009. When I called 18005850678 on May 25, 2009, I was told that I will get my deposit back within 7-10 days. They give me deposit reference# as well for the future correspondance. It has been a month so I started calling them and different customer representative giving different reasons to not return the deposit money. Some are saying I have to keep the service active for at least a year and others are saying that the money that I gave was activation fees not the deposit fees.
Please be aware of these people. I am glad I didn’t recommend this company to any of my friends and family members.

i agree with you guys.union telecom and their agents are cheating people. i have the same problem as you describe.i loose my deposit for no reasons.their agents are talking bullshit. don’t trust them.or you will end up in mess like us.
people be careful with union telecom.Even i have reference no. for refunding money they refuse to pay me back.
and. please read terms and conditios carefully. this is the instrument of fraud and cheating.
Don’t use or refer to anybody.and save people from daylight fraud

I am planning to close the account. However now I will not pay them unless they reduce the final bill by the security deposit amount.

guys avoid using union telecom ,they dont have any idea of the bills that they send to their customers,i skipped one payment and they send me a bill of $300 payed them the bill and now again they r asking for another $120 and i have not made any calls which will get the bill to $120 ,asked them to send me all the details of the bills from last 6 months and they hang up the call.worst service i have ever gone through ,they r real cheaters.

I am another victim of the over billing and decline to refund security deposit. This truly is cheating in daylight. What can we do?

UNion telecom is fraud .. that bloody guys are askign unless you give credible reason for refund we will nto refudn you money.> I said write down you are too expensive and then I have bene promised the refund within a week let us see..
