Contacted via a cold call and presented land investment in Brazil at a project called Coral Reef. Suggested by Jordan Kavanagh of Harvard Alliance that 3 plots of land would be the best investment. Harvard Alliance and Venturis International are both based in Southern Spain. Their website includes marketing in the USA, South America and Europe. Idea is that upon purchasing 3 plots, with the demand increasing so was the price on a monthly basis so was this of interest to me as an investment. There are 2 web pages illustrating all the details, harvardalliance.com and venturisgroup.com, these web pages will be hosted for about 2 months more from writing this account.
I showed an initial interest, and was told that Harvard Alliance had access via Venturis to some greatly positioned plots near to the beachfront. Plans and details were E-Mailed to me regarding the investment, all seemingly credible. I went through due diligence with the company and everything seemed to foot the bill. I then decided to proceed paying a deposit of approx 2500 GBP to initially reserve the plots. Again confirmation that the plots were now reserved, all I was supposed to do was raise the remaining funds £35.000 GBP to secure the purchase.
I was also sent power of attorney papers to be given to their representing lawyer in Brazil to secure the deeds etc. These papers had to go to a Notary who get them stamped by the Brazilian authorities. I eventually get the remaining funds together and they are duly sent via Currencies Diect to their representative who will complete the purchase. Jordan Kavenagh telephones to say congratulations you are now the owner of the 3 plots, just await the paperwork and its all yours.
So between October 08 and January 09, I wait and when no paperwork arrives and try making some inquiries, the companies appear to have disappeared, no telephone contact of E-Mail contact. The payments were made to a Mr Neil Plowman, and other names involved are Reg Winter, Sam Rodgers, Pauline Rodgers, Jessica Winter, Mike Ford and James Kent. I also have contact with someone in similar circumstances who prefers not to be named at this stage as he dare not break this to his wife. He was taken for 50.000GBP.

Glad that this string has started. I was in the process of buying 5 plots with a business partner but cold feet and only bought one in the end.
All the names mentioned above connected with Venturis I recognise. They seemed ligit but I guess more homework should have been done.
I was given Neil Plowmans mobile number but he does not pick up. The guy is obviously rotten to the core.
This was going to be an investment for my daughters future. Quite cruel people.
Happy to assist in initiating any plan feasible for recovery of some / all funds. Has anyone considered BBC Watchdog as there must be more of us out there ?
Just to advise there is any company – BRIC INVESTMENTS – now claiming ownership of Coral Beach and selling plots – has nayone followed this up ? They advise that any monies paid are held in escrow until full title has been received.

Bric investments are the same thing as Venturis, Sam Rodgers is there marketing manager and well known for scamming people.

Sam Rodger’s was previously employed by us nearly 2 years ago, he was dismissed for dishonest sales technics and deceiving clients with lies and false promises. He currently has been charged with theft in a case of ” Stolen Goods” which he was arrested and detained for back in 2008, i myself was in court to witness his arrival in handcuffs. The case continues.

I wish in could have found you before you sent the money.
I suggest posting everyones names everywhere, get on the forums, get writing, make it a public as possible, the more you all write the more it shows up on the internet. Call the new office, fax them, email them, call and call and call. Post your experiences on line as much as possible. I have tried posting on several Forums but it is always removed because Coral Beach advertises on these forums.. Please contact me personally and i can assist you all, we know all about this company and where everyone is hiding, we know the office which is now selling this project again, and i will be glad to help you at any legal action by passing on all information.

I was looking thru my files and i dont have any Louise on my files so i am not sure if this is a real case or not. It may be again someone masquerading as a disgruntled client in yet another attempt to discredit us. I saw a posting by a Louise Hill above but not a Louise. Post your full name and then i can be sure. I posted mine after all.
Your words are strong, and i can read your are angry, but contact us and we can sort it out should this be genuine, we are not hiding or changing company names Louise so until i am aware of the case i cant really comment on it.
It has always been our company policy to refund any client who requested it, if for some reason you have not been then please contact us thru our website. I dont know this case personally but we strive to do our best to keep clients happy.

He’s the main scamster that got me but we are on the hunt to find him. His dealings were however with Venturis.

Jordan Kavanagh is Sam’s old friend, if Jordan is there too i am not sure, these guys are in their early 20’s and how they can be let loose to contact clients in matters of financial investment and people’s life savings is beyond my comprehension!
No responsible company would let Children i would call them, access to clients, especially without any qualifications or formal training in this field. You could also email his partner on dies@bric-investment.com.
I personally spoke to this man yesterday, after he saw this website and he was not happy understandable. I expressed my professional distaste that they are working with Sam Rogers, still selling this project called Coral Beach, and still calling clients asking for them to send more money to build a house!
Last week this Dies person told a client that they were not prepared to give Full Due Diligence unless the client was placing a deposit! Unbelievable as it seems. I have copies of the emails which were passed to me by a friend here representing the client if anyone wants to see, so Bric-Investments can not claim that they are not deliberately deceiving clients and attempting to take people’s money.
The story is complex, with twists and turns like a snake, Harvard Alliance- This is just a clever trick, to make clients feel relaxed, but it all starts at Sam Rogers, he found the land, he set the deals up with the lawyers in Brazil, he set up Venturis International and after several months this company disappeared with all your money, now he has become involved with Bric-Investments, so the project has followed with Sam. So Andrew, you have a lot of info to start with, i would expect they will say ” It was not with us you sent your money etc” but who knows what will happen but my advise is get a refund if possible. Dont let them bully you, even make a complaint thru the Brazil Consulate. Could work…
Dont get involved with that land. There is only so much i can say here, i can only say the truth, all i wrote above is true and therefore i am not concerned about legal action.

I used to work for Venturis. Perhaps I was bit nieve to everything that went ont. But David Mahoney is the biggest theif out there! He taught Sam Rodgers everything Sam knows. He is also based in Puerto Banus selling Coconut Grove which has even less obvious credibillity then Venturis. David Mahoney reveal to everyone where you work and your mobile number and email address.

The guy is a crook, you’ll never guess he’s only just turned 23.

Having read all the comments on this site it seemed only fair that i respond.
having known most of the parties involved i believe i can speak fairly and honestly.
venturis international was created by mr neil plowman and mr reg winter. they employed mr sam rodgers. whilst mr rodgers was instrumental in the development of the project he was by no means the orchestrator of what appears now to be quite a serious fraud operation.
whilst i am not here to condone or approve the situation. i can give a good insight into the workings.
i can also set the record straight with mr david mahoney, who has his own business interest in brazil and im sure would be very keen to get you all involved, knowing the regional powers that be over in brazil, mr mahoneys name is about as welcome as a bacon sandwich at a bar mitzvah.
i believe a lady named louise has already clarified that situation.
anyway.
mr sam rodgers appears to be a hardworking individual who unfortunately fell foul of the above named individuals desire to defraud people out of there money. mr david mahoney has also employed sam and i can also say that NEVER once did sam turn up in handcuffs anywhere. There is a long standing grudge held by david towards sam. The “stolen goods” issue involved a laptop that was purchased by mr sam rodgers but put into the company name. when sam left he took it back, the company decided that he was guilty of stealing and tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to prosecute him. they didnt like the fact sam was a competitor and wanted to ruin his name.
i believe the development david owns is coconut grove in brazil,he employs a spanish chap called guillermo as well as an english chap called harry, a chirpy cockney who also has a long history of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. the name nichola is also key.
both these companies have employed individuals who, after the fall out of the property market in spain are keen and tenacious, and good at their job.
it is very difficult for these individuals to know what is a scam and what is not a scam as they have probably been let go or made redundant and just want to work. they have to believe that the information they are being fed is correct and the development they are selling is licensed.
im afraid that mr sam rodgers has had to shoulder the burden due to the actions of his above named colleagues,a mr reg winter and a mr neil plowman, that is where you all need to start looking.
harvaard alliance was the brain child of these individuals who thought it would be a good way to increase exposure without using the venturis name. again mr jordan kavanagh has fallen foul to their deceit.
i have met mr dies poppeliers, and i can say that he comes across as a hardworking individual who just wants the best for this development. he is not afraid to explain the situation regarding the change from venturis to bric. both mr plowman and mr winter have long since dissapeared.
dies and his partner have a strong belief in the success of the development, they are keen to speak to anyone who feels that they have been taken for a ride to offer a solution. certainly more than mr david mahoney would ever do. regardless of his rantings.
mr dies poppelliers and partner looked at the situation created after mr plowman and mr winter dissapeared and deciede that they wanted to continue with the development. he was aware of sam rodgers’s key knowledge of this area and decided to employ him. as far as im aware they have spent a huge amount of dollars securing the safe progression of this development.
i bought a plot from venturis and was nearly scammed, dies, with the help of his employee sam helped me to keep my plot for a fair fee, and allow me to hopefully realise my investment. It was not the ideal situation but one that had to be confronted.
as a fairly shrewd operator i can say that this decision was not reached lightly. my own portfolio has some of the strongest investment opportunities that have presented themselves ober the last 10 years. so i speak with a degree of investment savvy.
personally i believe the development will be as successful as some of my other interests. granted it is not an ideal situation……but one i believe will be resolved

Jordan, if as I suspect it is you, because Stuart you cant possibly be a client as you appear to be over informed with both individuals and events.
The only issue yet to be resolved Jordan, is your arrest and then prison sentence.

I have no desire to enter into a war of words with any party. nor do i intend to defend or condone the actions of anybody or any company. the reason i seem to be well informed. i flew to spain for a meeting with bric investments to see how this situation could be resolved. i have no desire to lose a substantial amount of money. so im very sorry to dissapoint you mr clarke. should you want me to contact you on an individual basis i would be happy to do so. i sought my explanation from the horses mouth. i would suggest that anybody looking to resolve their situation should do the same. in my experience it is better to fight things head on and seek the truth before making a decision on what action should be taken. surely mr clarke you would see the logic in such a situation. it also appears that you are hell bent on bringing the aforementioned mr kavanagh to justice for his actions. whilst i understand your plight, as i have mentioned previously, u need the organ grinders. not the monkeys. i can only assume that you stand to lose a substantial amount of money in this venture. why not do as i did, fly to spain, if not already there, and confront the issue head on. again as previously mentioned, there is no win / win situation, to resolve the matter will cost more money, but after weighing up the pro’s and con’s it was a decision that needed to be made and certainly one i beleieve to be for the good of my investment.

Well this has certinally got people wound up! Freedom of speech is a powerful thing, I posted my real name so the truth can be said, you may write what you wish, as is your right, in an attempt to bring myself or anyone in my company down to this level, but we are not the ones with all the clients unhappy and out of pocket now are we? In fact, all our clients are happy, in constant contact with us. Many have become friends, ovet 120 clients that have visited Brazil, clients such as Commander at the Pentagon, with top secret security clearance, 2 Police officers, from both sides of the Atlantic, several lawyers, Doctors, and a wide range of professional, happy excited clients… Can you guys say the same? Obvously not because.

Do I have a interest in Brazil? Bad blood between Sam ? The answer is YES,we work very hard at delivering a product which is everything we say it is, last year i spent 6 months away from my friends and family in Brazil to make sure we are on track, to deliver our promises and when a company is selling a product which turns out to be a scam in our region of Brazil, in this case a some 6km from our project it creates bad press and leaves people with a sour taste in their mouths about Brazil.
At the end of the day, I just want people to enjoy Brazil, it’s a beutiful place, and if I have to expose people and companies to safeguard what I consider my child, meaning the resort that we have created then, like any normal caring parent, I will protect this child from threats of predators, danger and in this Case scammers. Guys.. Your playing with peoples lives, real peoples retirement money, their daughters wedding funds, that emergency opperation, that surprise visit on a birthday, it’s reckless, wrong, and you should be ashamed.

no i have my trip out in july, thats the earliest i can get out. unfortunately due to work / family commitments i am unable to make it any sooner. i have to say i am looking forwartd to visiting the area. it has been given some excellent press and i have heard that some of the scenery is stunning.
i intend to complete a stringent dilligence process of my own whilst out there. needless to say should i find out any of the information i have been given is not correct i will myself be at the head of the que to strike retribution. until then i trust in the advice of bric investments.
i understand that venturis was a seperate entity, a business that has obviously created such a stir, but after meeting with the guys at bric i am confident they have the resorts best interets at heart.
with regards to the statement i made, since my own enquiries have started i have been asked several times if i knew one david mahoney, when answering “no i dont” it was suggested to me that i should keep it that way, david i do not know you personally and i know nothing of your business ethics so i cannot comment from a personal perspective. only what i have been informed. if i have been misinformed then i can only apologise, but as you rightly said yourself, i only have one parties side of events. im sure you could introduce me to people out there who would say otherwise. again i would like to stress that venturis international are responsible for this whole situation developing. i understand that mr sam rodgers has moved into business with bric who now hold the land from venturis. this is clearly not sitting well with people as they have been taken for a ride. after speaking with sam i found him to be a very passionate, knowledgable and yes, a relatively young individual who clearly felt guilty and responsible for events during his time with venturis. but that doesnt take away from the knowledge he has passed onto me in a clear and concise manner, he has always answered the fone to me and has never shirked responsibility when ive asked him to do something for me or send me something over…..again i can only work on the experience i have had.
this is most definately not an “ideal situation” by any means, but i do understand that when entering into something in good faith on the back of words and a level of trust from your fellow directors, only to be caught out and left holding the baby, as knowledgeable and as passionate as mr rodgers is. he is still a young man and will still feel incredible pressure due to the situtaion as it had presented itself.
he has hhelped me to try and rectify my problem to such a manner that i felt comforatble with. thus allowing me to continue with my investment.
have i lost money. yes i have.
do i believe i can make it back. yes i do.
i would suggest to anybody who is concerned with their investment to speak directly to bric, see what can be resolved as i have. you will find them willing to help. it will probably cost you more money but for me this was a decision i made and am happy with. the bigger picture sits well with me.

Yeah back to basics Andrew, i am trying help you find these people, they are all still in Spain for sure, but your own website and maybe an action group is a good idea. we have been dragged into this mess because of several reasons, but the main ones are:-
A. We have received many people asking about this group Venturis International, and i refuse to be tarred with the same brush.
B. We discovered Bric Investments were using our project as a cloaked internet add campaign, meaning under our name they were receiving client inquires, this does not happen by accident, it is not easy to do this, so this was a deliberate under handed action. So i have decided to make public what i know.
Stuart said he felt they were acting in a professional way etc, hmmm, If they were all feeling so bad, then why did they not email the clients and explain what was happening? Why was no internet statement made on their forum site? Has one single client who has been ripped off ever received a email from Sam or his partners saying;- ” Please contact us and we can work things out” i bet not.
If these people are so accommodating then they can fix all the problems? I really hope so for all the readers affected finically. Projects have problems, and ours too in the past, but we contacted all the customers, and posted it all online, we never changed company name or address and refunded unhappy clients, so i am sorry i cant quit swallow that line of thinking. They knew what was happening and decided to take no positive action i feel. Run and hide was their choice of action.
So with that being said i enclose my personal email address because this is taking up a lot of time now, and all this hatred and negative energy, if you need to email me then feel free, and for all those who are masquerading as Realest International customers or even ex employees, then place your quadrant numbers your received to confirm your true identities, or real names. One thing is for sure, i will do everything in my power to stop further scamming. I will update the forum when i have something new and as time unfolds things will become clear.

please be under no illusion, there was a lot of misinformation flying around after i had questionned the integrity of certain individuals. i will not deny this has been as easy and as comfortable as you think i am making out. it has not. this has cost me £17,000 extra on top of the money i had already outlayed. that does not bring me any amount of joy. and yes, to obtain information has been very difficult. i have taken time out of my schedule to fly to spain, at my own expense to have this problem rectified. that does not bring me any joy.
i want these bastards just as much as you do mr mahoney and if what you tell me about bric is true then i have to empathise with you and will therefore understand the stance that you have regarding both

but i have made my decision after a long and tiring few days in spain and now that decision has been made i have to live by it. yes, the company since has been very clear about what is happening and how the project is moving on. i also understand that if i hadnt chased them up then maybe i could still be nearly £82,000 down. which would bring me even less joy. i am very aware and conscious about this.
to run and hide is folly. i agree. maybe i have been very fortunate that i can smell a bad egg fairly quickly. i can only imagine how all this could be for the fellow who has yet to explain to his wife what has happened.
so whilst i do understand your comments. you, like any savvy investor knows that we have to concentrate on ourselves and what is best for us. im sorry to hear all these sad stories. i am. but like all of us who invest. we know the risks. and i can only concentrate on my own investments. i am happy to help get involved where i can, should anyone want me too. but for now the people at bric have made me feel better about the state of my investment. i understand better why what happened happened. hence why i have suggested and vioced my opinions.
if that does not sit well with you mr. mahoney then there is little i can do to change that. maybe in time when i am in brazil we can meet for a drink and exchange a few stories. until that time. i will voice my opinions as best as i can call them.

I have been looking at this tonight, holy cow, how many people got taken? I was cold called from this Harvard Allience also but it smelled bad to me, too much talking by some super slick English accented salesman, guy wouldn’t shut up. The name Sam rings a memory bell but it was a while ago, , couldn’t be sure, I didn’t buy because I googled some lawyer they told me to wire a deposit too i think… and this guy is all over a website called the rip off report.com, I think his name was Rui, someone said in this, I have to check, who ever talked to me was clearly incharge because one time he thought he hung up but it was still live, and I could here him shouting at someone in the office,

Right I would like to clear a few things up here. I recieved a call a couple of days ago by someone who used to work for Venturis telling me that I was being targeted and being blamed for what happened with the project Coral Beach. After reading all the comments that people have left I can tell you that some things on here are true and some are false. I sent Andrew Dixon-Lewis and email yesterday with my telephone number to call me which he did today.
Andrew was a client of mine when I worked for the company. I left the company last year so had no idea all this was going on.
Reg winter and Neil plowman started the company at the beginning of last year. They had about 15-20 people, including myself, trying to sell the project Coral Beach. Sales for the project were not doing that great and the company seemed to be in a bit of trouble. Therefore I can only imagine the company ran into money troubles and had to close. What I cannot understand though is why Reg and Neil havent contacted any clients to explaine this? Sam Rodgers is still working on the project for Bric Investments so he must be trying to rescue it. How that is going I couldnt tell you as I am not in contact with any of them. You should try and contact him and i’m sure he will explaine what went on.
I am still owed a lot of money for work that I did for the company that I have not been paid on. I tried for three months to reach Reg and Neil but without success. I have nearly given up but I am prepared to keep going if we can find them.

I just figured out where your all talking about, this land is owned by a local guy called Raimundo, they were originaly sending money on a sort of payment plan which is common here, a few people here in Brazil knew this, Rui ferrias was the lawyer, get in touch with this lawyer here too folks, see I recken that there should have been title deeds, even if people sent 15k $ to venturis, each lot was only around 6,000$ so they never even gave you a chance, it seems, coz if they were at least honest to register the deal, you would all have title deed. What a bloody shower of bastards Eh,
No wonder so many people hate this bloke Sam, how many names does he have? He’s like a real pro if he set this up. What can I do to help? From Brazil side.. This bloke Mahoney, he seems to know a lot, I could find him and have a coffee and a chat if it would help, I’ll email now also .

I did my best to expose Venturis as early as May 2008 (In a site “Property investors overseas” I wrote to a leading Marbella publication offering them hard evidence that a scam was being perpetrated and revealed to them that staff had not been paid their commissions etc. But for legal reasons the paper declined the information. I then gave the Spanish edition of the Daily Mail the same information but once again for legal reasons they could not do an expose. I had in fact offered myself as a multi million dollar investor to venturis and spoke personally to Mr Sam Rodgers but as soon as I mentioned that my lawyers would be handling things Rodgers went mute. Incidentally you might like to know that Sam·s mother also worked for Venturis and is still living in Marbella perhaps she can help you.

There were 4 equal partners in the Company (VENTURIS) Niel Ploughtman, Reg Winter,Sam Rogers and Pauline Rogers Sams Mother.She knew about it all, she played the incient to the employers.Jordan on the other hand I feel has been blamed for things that he hasnt done.He is a lovely guy and I worked with him when I was there,I remember him getting the sack from Sam when they first started up because he wasn’t deliving the goods.
I would like someone to take this further because as an Ex-employee we did not know what the hell was going on, we also didn’t get paid,it was mad there most days,they are evil people and need to be stopped.
The 2 Dutch guys need to be stopped too.

Yes I have spoken to Jordan and reckon that he probably did’nt know what was happening, however he was my point of contact so not totally blameless. He could have come forward earlier or contacted his ex clients to let them know what was happening and this could have been exposed sooner.
Why have Winters and Plowman so conveniently dissapeared for the time being, its only a question of time before they get found. They will claim of course that there are no assets as they will have blown it. We can by exposing them make sure they never do any business at all in whatever they decide to do.
By the way information has it that there are 30 – 40 “clients” out there who were ripped off.
Lot of money all together wonder what the hell they have done with it.

does no one know what mr neil plowman was doing in seville he had another project there! he has a casourtium of investers apparently who help bankroll projects. these so called investers actually came to the villa to see what was happening aswell. he had a name for the investment company which aparently was going to be the developer for coral beach Poynter-Brown Investments Ltd. if you can track these guys down you will be able to find neil as he is the ring leader for these.

Bottom line is he owes me £37K that was paid to him by me for land plots in Brazil. He has just taken it and disappeared. In my book you are nothing more than a common thief.
Not being based in Spain its not too easy to go around looking but someone somewhere knows where he is.

This will be the same Neil Plowman who set up companies in Brighton – Fusion Timber Frame and left leaving debts of over £500k with money from pension funds that folks were using to build their own homes in the UK. Try talking to: Atherton Bailey 01293 410333, Malcolm Fillmore, who are putting a case together to bring him back to the UK to answer charges.
Plowman will be hiding in Spain or the Far East. The only time he seems to react is if you try contacting his parents!!

Not true, Anyone can make a DENOUNCIA in Spain, if you make it juicy, with a lot of details, then they will take it seriously, it is possible that when they leave the country they will arrest them at the airport. The Spanish police scan all UK passports upon leaving and entering the country so we have to make a denouncia, imagine 30 deniouncia of fraud! They would pick them up straight away. Has anyone got passport numbers for any of these people? That would be fantastic and i guarantee these rats are not big time criminals here in Spain, petty little thieves in reality, not that i think 37K is petty, but you know what i mean. So as far as payoffs goes, thats not a factor. It’s not bloody Morocco ! The thing is we all need to make denouncias, then it becomes more plausible. I would call Currencies Direct too, make an official complaint Andrew, then they will investigate it also, they all need to be stopped and exposed. Andrew Dixon Lewis, if these things aren’t reported anywhere nothing will ever get done. If the victims are in England they should start by reporting the matter to their local police. Poynter Brown seems to be based in Gibraltar according to ex employee 2 so why not let the Police there know whats going on. Where did you sned your money? Where ever that was might be some where you should report this to. Ex employee 5 is right about people needing to report matters in Spain. You must be able to get on the Internet a get a number for the Police in the Marbella area and they are bound to speak English.

I have been reading with great interest, YES I worked there, and YES all the Directors are horrible,nasty people.I would love to see them in prison the lot of them. Neil did have flat in Withdean but I think he sold it and moved to Hove. Pauline Sam Mother knows a lot I think she is in contact with Neil still..We need to expose them I tried going to the papers at the time also I telephoned my clients, but know one would beleive me, it was crazy,Some clients didn’t even have a lawyer. I agree with Ex employee 5, expose the new name whatever its called. Also a separate website can be set up exposing Sam Rodgers, Neil Plowman and Reg Winters.
I would like to get some photos of them to put on the site so they can never work again without someone recognising them.
Also with a seperate website whatever they decide to call the development we can change the name so they will have to change it every week. Not so good for marketing.
As for Sams mother, yes its time to get to her, she knows a lot and is also responsible for, and knows what was going on. She seems to know where Neil Plowman is as well.
Another idea is that we all meet up and pay Sam a little visit that he wont forget, we know where he is and unless the squeeler runs away we can have a little chat with him about his behaviour and perhaps give him a few lessons to remember.

There is no need to put a ‘denuncia’ in Spain (although preferable) The Uk Police have jurisdiction to investigate as part of the crime takes place in the UK. The amounts involved should make the Serious Fraud Office interested, if all victims report it.

Simple request, all those who have been scammed please go to the Police in the UK and report this. If everyone reports this then they will take action and it will go to the Serious Fraud Office. The perpetrators are UK citizens and although they think they can hide away in Spain, they cant as it will become an international affair. On top of this there is another party looking for Neil Plowman to issue a writ upon him for other dishonest dealings prior to the Venturis affair.
I am also about to set up a website naming and shaming Sam Rodgers, Neil Plowman and Reg Winters. There will be some photos on it so they can lie and change name as much as they want but the photos will show the world who they really are.
Until I get my hard earned money back I will persist and ruin whatever ventures these characters decide to pursue. If they change the name of the project in Brazil I will just change the link so anyone doing any due diligence will come across the scam.

My company is contacted short time ago by Dies Poppeliers and Rob van Kuijk (who seems to be the owner of the land by property title since December 11th, 2008) for selling the plots at Coral Lake & Beach Resort. They are planning new sales. I have a Due Dilligence from MZG-avogados in Fortaleza dated January 16th, 2009.

Dont part with any money until you have absolutely confrmed 110% that you have what you want.

If you look above at the comments made by someone called Cameron above, I believe that he is an Ex Venturis person probably still involved with the scam.
Read the style and the sort of mentality writing the script. Do you want to trust your money with someone who comes across like this?? I would like my money back that I paid to Venturis with the good faith that it would purchase the plots that I requested but all you get is whats written above.
If you are going to purchase go to Brazil and do your due diligence there, ask the local Mayor for example what is happening, check others but don’t be duped by what the seller would like you to believe.
Also ask yourself why these people are in Southern Spain on the Costa Del Crime and not working from somewhere like the UK where they have to work within guidelines set by regulatory authorities.
Until I get my money back I will campaign whichever way necessary to make sure nobody else gets their fingers burnt.

I too am a disgruntled investor with Coral Beach. I have since found out that Reg winter and Neil Plowman are both still in Spain. Their mobile numbers are (0034) 680 323 461 and (0034) 685 124 829. Neil is working with a company called Poynter Brown based in Guadalmina San Pedro. I have tried to call but so far no one has answered. It seems that Neil is yet again involved in another property scam near Seville and has ripped thousands of monies from investors.

I have posted an entry on 15th, 7:48 am regarding more information on to persons mentioned in this entry. Meanwhile I have received legal information from indepenant lawyers that the persons mentioned are NOT involved whatsoever with the Venturis company and their CEO’s.
Although it is the same land, the Bric Investment company is a new company under a different CEO and has fully honest intentions regarding the sales and development of this land.

Its a fact Sam Rodgers who was one of the “brains” behind Venturis now works for the new company BRIC. Whatever BRIC’s intentions are, is not my business, however Sam was definitely involved in the previous scam.
Ask the question “is he there” and “what is he doing” as he certainly knew about the rip off’s that were going on before, and the mysterious disappearance of the Venturis office overnight together with a lot of investors money.

These are more than misfortunes they were pre-calculated rip offs with the umbrella of an investment company who were selling something they had no right to.
All I can say is why do these people hang out in S. Spain where they can get away with things unregulated when if they had honest intentions they would set up somewhere where they were regulated and could be held to account for their actions.
As one of the comments states above, all the people at Venturis knew what they were doing, ie scamming. They just wanted paying their wages no matter how immoral the scam was. Sam Rodgers from Venturis, who is now with the new company knew full well what was going on. Ex employees who worked at Venturis have stated to me that Sam was one of the main decision makers and comes over with extreme confidence…..he is 22 years old!!
I’m sure the promises are the same and its all too good to be true, however remember its your money and they will be only too pleased to spend it on themselves for you.

Dont know which force you have been to, but as UK citizens have been scammed by other UK citizens it doesn’t matter where they are hiding, my report is being taken seriously and not only in the UK.
Dont know what you told them assuming that you have been taken.
I cannot reveal too much here as to what is happening as the perpetrators will get wind of it and strengthen their positions.

Hi everyone
This needs to go right back to basics. The initial rip off that took place was due to Venturis that was clearly run in principle by Neil Plowman and Reg Winters taking money from investors and not purchasing the plots in Brazil that were promised.
The bank accounts where money was sent was controlled by Neil Plowman, and yes, he does have the Police after him!!
I am also aware from reading above that some are referring to BRIC investments as being involved in the scam as well
I can re-assure all concerned that BRIC and the management at BRIC are in no way involved in the past dealings of Venturis in any way.
My initial intention was to purchase plots of land in Brazil as I still believe that the area offers wonderful investment opportunities with great returns on investments.
With this in mind, I have painstakingly undertaken a due diligence with BRIC Investments dotting all i’s and crossing all t’s and have taken the decision to invest in further plots at the now named Coral Lake and Beach Resort.

im investigating this concept in dubai… Now is this just competition banter david as the ex employer? And this website chat is for getting your own back from sam rogers leaving you as an ex employee to work for your competitor? Or as i just met him as anthony.. and cant believe this is sam rogers ??? But apparently passports dont lie and its anthony sam rogers according to a source.. I saw anthony twice on social occations this week.. Can someone clarify all details as my friend and many people i know bought from dies poppulers company bric investments in dubai this week… Anthony / sam rogers was there.. He seems sooo genuine but calls himself anthony not sam? Im totally felling confused by this blog as it seems childish when you read the whole thing.. Just people blaming everyone all over, but one thing i know .. Something isnt right with the scenarios as i wouldnt be reading this or writing an essay now right?? I need some info if at all possible dave i would like to get in touch personally.
I may go to brazil in two weeks to see reality and not rely on hearsay over a blog chat.. I truely think the best in people so im a trained lawyer and need evidence.. Is there full proof so i can do dubai justice without potentially risking more of peoples credit crunch savings…

There has been a great deal of speculation and many adverse comments on certain forums in recent months regarding the legitimacy of the above mentioned project. Many of these derogatory articles and comments confuse the ownership and marketing rights of the legal owners, with those of Venturis International who had previously marketed a part of this land as Coral Beach Resort.

i have been following this thread for some time now. i understand a lot of comments on here are companies fighting against each other but there are also comments on here from investors who have lost money. i am neither an invstor or a company but i feel it is my place, before this gets out of hand, to inform everybody what is really going on…..
the company ‘venturis international’ was started by sam rodgers. everything to do with the company was his idea. i have seen a lot of comments about neil and reg on here. these two guys were just the money. they were the ones that paid the staff wages, paid the rent on the office, phone bills etc. they are a big part to blame for what happened with that company but no where near as much as sam rodgers.
now he has started with bric investments after leaving so many investors out of pocket that bought with venturis. what he is doing now is very very cleaver and in some way maybe he deserves to get away with what he is doing now because it is that clever. it is not against the law what he is doing now and he cannot be prosecuted for it. what sam rodgers is doing now is called ‘legal rip-off’. yes the land he is selling he has some right to. when you by a plot from sam you will legally own that plot but that is as far as it will ever go. he has probably told you that he plans to build a nice development on there in a few years time??? he has to say this in order to sell the land. i mean who is going to want a piece of swamp land. well no development will ever be built.
the only land that is probably worth something in that part of brazil is in natel and even that area has been hit hard by the current climate. but like i said you are buying land that you will own 100% freehold. what you will do with it is of course the issue. andrew dixon-lewis you have been persuaded to by your plots twice over. how stupid could one person be. i mean you are the one who started this forum and you are the one who is now getting conned twice.
as for investigator i really hope you take what i am saying seriously. all i can say is i hope this forum is still going in two years time because i will be the first one here to say i told you so. as you can see from all the comments above that bric only left a comment after andrew had said he has checked everything out. they had no answers to give when people where telling negative comments. that is because they probably knew the were rumbled but now andrew posted a positive comment you can see them jump at the chance to try and save the’legal rip-off’ they are conducting.
sam rodgers in one of the most hated men in southern spain for what he has done to investors, people he has worked with and employees he has hired. i am not any of these people but i wanted to write this comment so you can actually see what you are getting into. what happens from here on i will leave up to you.

Regarding your comments about Mr. Andrew Dixon it is my understanding that once he actually researched BRIC Group and did due diligence on our project he came to the conclusion that.
1 – Sam Rodgers is not employed by our company.
2 – BRIC Group never had anything to do with Venturis.
3 – All our paper work is correct and the development is 100% legitimate.
I would like to encourage you and other contributors to this post to do some research before making statements that are misleading.
For instance, the area of Flexeiras is an established tourist area famous for kite surfing, eco tourism, adventure holidays, sun and beach holidays and much more. Not only is this area well established it is also growing in popularity with both Brazilian and international holiday makers.
Of course real estate development here is an emerging market. (Even a stronger reason to invest.)

Dont try and get Neil Plowman and Reg Winters off the hook. I know they took my money after they had basically collapsed. I also know all anout Neil Plowmans past dodgy dealings at the timber business in Brighton. Why is there a writ out for him in the UK and why is he wanted by the Police for money laundering offences.
If Neil Plowman is so innocent why has he not returned the money that he took from me under false pretences seeing as he is the money man.

please be aware andrew that im am not trying to get neil and reg off the hook. of course they are to blame for what happened but none of this mess ever would of happened if it had´nt been for sam rodgers. sam spent your money as well. it was split three ways.
you can see from the statement that bric has made above that they cannot help but lie. you yourself andrew have phoned their offices to be told that sam will be back in a week because he is in dubai which is where he met the investigator. i used to see sam personally when he was on his way to work and he has told me personally that he works for bric. dies is the dutch guy who used to work for venturis so how can they say it has nothing to do with them.
like i said they are just all lies, lies, lies and you will find this out very soon.
how many more clues do people need before they realise that this is a bad investment. there should´ve been alarm bells ringing when this forum was first posted let alone all the other stuff that has been writen and said since.

I have an interest in Caere and have long been attracted to having a stake in the region.
I stumbled across the BRIC ‘Coral Lake and Beach Resort’ proposition on the net early in the year.
I was contacted by phone by Rob Buckland, who presented in a very plausable way and we exchanged info etc with a view to my further advising myself of the BRIC ‘Coral Lake and Beach Resort’proposition.
The following day I was telephoned by a character straight out of central casting dept’s ‘Spiv, does not need to be nice, intelligence a disadvantage’ section.
This was Sam, right on character, so much so that I thought I would do a little research on this guy and of course came across the Ventura scam etc. On the same pass, came across his mother in the international property press under a variety of names pushing ‘The Coral Lake and Beach Resort’.
I emailed the previously plausable Rob Buckland to say that I did not wish to have anything more to do with Bric and delete me from the mailing list.
His reply in full:
Dear Mr “Wurd” (Name withheld)
I understand that you may well have viewed some information regarding The BRIC Group on the internet.
I obviously feel compelled to write back to you and fight, not only my corner, but also that of The BRIC Group. I am an upstanding investment broker who has, and will only continue to sell strong and legal investments. I think from our conversations and the fact that you were giving me advise in your last email, goes a long way to tell me that you also believe in me. Yes Sam Rogers was associated with Venturis and this turned out to be something that it wasn’t.
The owner of The BRIC Group was looking into a purchase of lots within the old resort, but when it was bought to his attention that this was not legal, he promptly saw a gap in the market, bought and legitimised the land. Venturis are a company which folded almist 2 years ago and HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THE BRIC GROUP. I would like to say that Mr. Rogers is still affiliated with the company and this is due to his wealth of knowledge and the fact that the old owners of Venturis, who were the ones who took the money, blamed Mr. Rogers and went into hiding. This was by no means Sam’s project.
I do fully understand your concerns, but there was also a certain amount of mud slinging from other companies because we have the financial clout and beat them to the purchase of the land. This has now been rectified and we are in a position to offer our full DUE DILLIGENCE to any clients who would like to see this and also welcome you to speak with the Town Hall in Fortaleza who will also be able to confirm the legality.
I am not trying to convince you to buy, but I would say that we have turned around a lot of previous Venturis clients due to the nature of our legal status. If you now check these reports and in particular that from a one Andrew Lewis Dixon, you will see that he has now undergone his own rigerous due diligence and has bought into OUR project. I hope that this would go someway to reassuring you that the BRIC Group is selling a fully legal and legitmate project, but please do YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND DO NOT JUST MAKE ASSUMPTIONS FROM WEBSITES.
I would like to hear your thoughts on the above and would invite you to respond to this email at your earliest opportunity and I will look forward to receiving your response.

he has ripped off loads of poeple and thinks he can just walk away and live off others hard work. I have evidence against him that he cannot deny, including some people that he has maliciously wrecked.

im sorry to be the one to tell you this but coconut grove is the same as coral bech. it is a scam being run out of a tiny office in marbella. the guy who runs the office david is an absolute crook and has a lot of investors after him already for his past dealings. no doubt he or someone will write back on here pleading how genuine they are. i have met him and beleive me if you knew what i knew their would be nothing in the world that could be writen on here to defend him. to prove my point why dont you try and sell you plots…..i gaurentee you wont be able to.
