Back in November 2007, I sent Wayne Monk of Monk Memorials a check for a $500 deposit on a headstone. He was the sales manager for Half off Stones.com and had me mail the check to his home address of 1005 Delmas Avenue in Nashville. Half off Stones went out of business and Mr. Monk called me numerous times day and night and finally told me he was working with the Attorney General’s office to finish the memorials Half Off Stones would not finish. I sent him another check for $2,200 on 7/17/08. He would not take Paypal or a credit card because he said that would hold up the order. Now that he has my money, he will not call me back. He told me the memorial would be finished in 6 – 8 weeks after the approval of the layout. The layout was approved months ago. Mr. Monk will not answer his phone or e-mails now.
