I sent my Iphone to NORTHBAY ELECTRONICS in California on Oct. 5, 2008 because my iphone wont start. I sent the payment of $105thru paypal. I called 4 days after and Wayne Carlos Reavis answered my phone call stating it was a water damage and there is a red color under the headset jack which indicates water damage and instructed me to send another $150 to replace the circuit board. He told me it will be done in 2 weeks. Again, I sent the $150 and I called 2 weeks after and left messages and no response, after 3 days of no response I called and left email to Wayne Carlos Reavis again and still no response. 7 days after Tyler Toler called saying the circuit board for my iphone was in order. I waited for 1 month and tried to call them back and sent them email and No respose. I called and emailed them every other day for 1 month and after 3 weeks Wayne Carlos Reavis finally called back stating the circuit board had arrived and they have to put it on my iphone. I waited for 2 weeks and check again and as usual no response on phone call and email so I called and emailed them again 6 times in a month. Because of lack of call back and response on my email, I called them and emailed them again after 5 months of frustration saying that they will be hearing a phone call from my attorney and California Attorney General. The next day Wayne Carlos Reavis called me and stating he is working my iphone and it will be done soon so I didnt continue reporting them to California Attorney General. Now its May 20, 2009 ( thats (May 13, 2009) 7 MONTHS of phone calls and email to Northbay Electronics, I called Wayne Carlos Reavis again and finally got a hold of him and saying my phone is on his desk and send him a reminder email so that he will finalize the repair and send it back to me. I sent him a reminder email to send me my iphone back unfortunately 1 weeks after I dont have my iphone yet so I finally called my Attorney to send Wayne Carlos Reavis a letter and phone call. 10 days after I received my iphone.
Now, my iphone was not repaired right. The headphone jack water damage indicator was not changed and still red instead of white. The speaker is not working and the headset is not working right. The only way for me to use my speaker is if I plug in my headphone to the headset jack then speaker work buy the headset wont work and I take off headset from the headset jack speaker turn off.
Its been 11 days since I called them for repair the headset and my iphone speaker but I haven’t received a call back or email from Wayne Carlos Reavis, NORTHBAY ELECTRONICS owner..
BEWARE!!! iPHONE repair wont take 7 months to repair. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and SCAMMERS..
