My mother, an 83 year old widow has been ripped off repeatedly by a company going by several names, United Benefit, Roadassureref, United Benef, and Roadside all of Largo, FL. So far the billing has been for $4.99, $4.99 then $29.99 and again $29.99. She receives calls from fast talking con artists using phony foreign accents who never answer questions, but instead just keep pushing a product or service nobody can understand and when we try to call back we only get recordings of gibberish. They have no web site I have been able to locate, but I have seen D&B reports that says they have annual sales of less than $68,000 but this is supposed to be some type of insurance company/road side assistance company akin to AAA or similar..
To my knowledge insurance companies have sales much higher than $68,000 as do roadside assistance companies. I sure wouldn’t buy insurance from an insurance company with sales that low and neither would my mother. Certainly neither of us would buy roadside assistance from Florida from a company not doing business in the state we live in, Texas. As far as I can tell the ONLY thing they insure is that they’ll take your money…period. We’re not even sure if that is their so called product or service because the “sales pitch” is unintelligible. She never once told them to bill her for anything, but they do anyway or did until she had her bank card canceled.
Avoid these people at ALL cost and if they do call you notify your bank immediately because they already have your bank card information before they call. They read my mothers bank card number back to her when she never gave that information out to them to begin with. United Benefit agency who we must assume they are of Largo, FL….They benefit themselves ONLY apparently!
