“Valuate Financial Services” It’s Fraud

NOTE: Please look below this report for comments by the company, individuals, employees, ex-employees and victims, if there are any. They may contain invaluable and important updates about this case.

I recieved a check in the mail for 3,617.18 and instructions to be a mystery shopper for this so called company. It’s a real check and the job seems legit. Well you know I got all excited and thought hey this could be a break for me since I just lost my job. I did a little research and ofcourse found out that this is just a scam. See the give you a check to use to make a couple of small purchases and then one large Money gram transfer for 2,968.00 dollars. Well the catchy part is you get paid 415.18 and get to keep the two fifty dollar items that you purchase. So what I read was that the check will eventually bounce, you do get paid the 415.00 but the bank will come after youfor the rest while fraud guys collect the rest of the cash. So I called the number listed on the instructions to get the job started and spoke with a man, a man with a strong arabic accent named John Anthony, sure his name was probaley saddam insane. So I spoke with him for a minute or so and right when I said “Is this a Scam” he hung up the phone with no hesitation. So beware if you recieve a large check like I did, please take all percautions as I did.

I too recieved a check for 3,617.18, but I took it a little farther then you did. First I ran the name on the check, “GATEHOUSE HOLLYWOOD DEVELOPMENT” through the computer and the strangest thing happened. A campaign donation sheet for Steve Zimmer came up with a complete list of his campaign donaters. He has just won the LAUSD-District $ seat. When I viewed the names of his donators, GATEHOUSE HOLLYWOOD DEVELOPMENT, LP was among them. Then I did a staelite imagery of the return address on my envelope, 180 Convent Avenue, New York, NY 10032. That address is located right smack in the middle of the campus of the City University in New York. [CCNY] So then I called up the college and asked too be connected to the deans’ office. When they picked up I explained why I was calling and told them someone over at the college is obviously running some sort of scam and someone needs to look into it before the state cuts off their funding. Then I did a satelite imagery of the address we were suppossed to send the money order transfer to; 8520 Rainy lake Dr Keller TX 76248. That looked like it was definetly either a very small home or the middle of a trailor park, because it looked like there were rows and rows of these small “homes”. Why this envelope has a Canadian post mark is another mystery, but I will find that out too. I’ll let you know when I learn more.
